Mummies
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo exhibits collections ranging from the prehistoric era to the Greco-Roman period. Most of the Pharaohs have their final resting place there. A lot remains unknown regarding the techniques used by the embalmers. During the restoration of the mummy of Nemenket Amen, who rests at the Saint Lazarus’ Island in Venice, scientists were able to better understood the way that mummies were originally wrapped.
