Population aging
Developed countries face the highest rise in aging populations before 2050. The 60+ age group will rise to 37% of the population in Europe and even more in Japan whereas in North America the percentage is estimated to rise to only 27%. Older people often suffer from loneliness, are frequently worried about their aging and physical infirmity and are more prone to disease.
